The Dead Ranch
Welcome to The Dead Ranch, a beautiful Ranch house and barns located on 15 beautiful acres, safe from the hordes of Zombies that have taken over the world.
At The Dead Ranch, you will stay in perfect safety, surrounded by fence, walls, and armed guards. You will stay in relative luxury, as long as you can afford it, that is.
The Dead Ranch is a project we have been working on for a while now that will give guests the experience of living in a Zombie Apocalypse. Guests will decide before they arrive whether they will be Zombies, Refugees, or Guards, depending on how much they choose to spend per night. However, Refugees and Guards may become Zombies over the course of their stay!
Guests who choose to pay $25 per night will start as Zombies with all makeup, costumes, protective gear and hand held paint marker, as well as room and board provided. Zombies do not stay in the main house.
Guests who choose to pay $50 per night will start as Refugees with costumes, protective gear, and basic paintball markers as well as room and board in the main house provided.
Guests who choose to pay $75 per night will start as Guards with costumes, protective gear, and better paintball markers as well as room and board in the main house provided.
Every two days a new “Bossman” will be chosen based on guests' performances during the previous two days. How well a guest sticks to the “spirit” of the Ranch, how well the stay in character, and other criteria, will determine the Bossman. The Bossman has many duties and perks, including the Bossman Suite, better accomodations within the Ranch main house. They also receive bragging rights. Yes, even Zombies have a chance of becoming Bossman.
Here's how it works:
Guests arrive at the Ranch and are taken to the area they will start in. Zombies are given their costumes and protective helmet. Yes, a full face “zombified” helmet will be provided, as only a head shot can put a zombie down. They will also be given hand held paint markers, not projectile markers. A Zombie must touch a Refugee or Guard in order to infect and convert them. One touch converts a Guest in 30 minutes. Two touches 15 minutes, and three touches (by one Zombie or multiple Zombies) and conversion is immediate (the Guest immediately “dies”, then proceeds to the Zombie staging area and becomes one for the remainder of the two days).
Refugees arrive at the ranch and are taken to the common area of the main house and given their room assignments, safety equipment, paintball markers, and refugee costumes. They will be given tasks and activities that will take them outside or be asked to help defend during Zombie attacks.
Guards arrive and will be taken to the Barracks area of the main house and given better equipment. They will have a better chance of surviving the two days.
The house is located in southern New Hampshire and has quite a bit of area for Guests to play in. The focus is NOT paintball, however, but the Zombie Apocalypse experience. Everything at the Ranch is geared towards this. As Guests arrive, they will be given the backstory through various means. They will be told about how the world fell to the Zombie attacks, and told that The Dead Ranch is one of the last safe havens in the area. Even their food will be “Zombie Apocalypse” appropriate. There will be no TV or radio except provided by the Ranch.
The opening date for The Dead Ranch will be Spring of 2014 provided we receive enough bookings/donations to purchase the property and renovate. To that end we are asking for donations/bookings to help get this off the ground. And if this is successful, we already have plans in the works for a larger Zombie Town experience!

Contributions in the amount of $25, $50, $75 will give the contributor 2 nights each per the fee schedule (a $25 contribution will give you 2 nights as a Zombie when we open, as well as an invitation to our Grand Opening Invasion). Any contribution will be greatly appreciated. The more contributions we get, the better we will make this.
